Custom fonts?

Hey everybody!

I really like the whole idea of making text-replaces through images rather than Flash (like sIFR does). But what about those custom fonts?
Why not make this thing a server-side script, released together with the JavaScript so that everybody can use their own fonts?

Hi toadle,

The only issue with releasing this would be the fonts. We cannot release the fonts collections because of copyrights. If you want to suggest a new font, you can send us the .ttf font and we can upload it to our collection.

For the whole script as downloadable, we are working on a release and it will come out soon. We are just testing the current process right now to get all the bugs and fix any issues. When the beta is done, we'll have a full release to the public.

The problem is, the font I'd like to see added is copyrighted too. When you use something like this in a customer-project, most fonts are.
Therefore I'd be really happy if you guys would release the server-side-script, for this thing. Is it PHP?

Yeah, the server side script is PHP 5.2 using GD liberary. I'll ping you when we have a working release, there are a few things we need to take care of first and create the administrator interface.

I'm not really sure, if this would really need an admin-interface, but anyway I'd be glad to get the script !
